Can the piracy be justified?
OK. So as the title says, can the piracy of CDs and DVDs ever be justified? Because if you're a lower-class working family, why would you spend $30 on a DVD when you can get a pirated copy for $3? Then again, if everyone goes and buys pirated copies, then the music/film industry would lose out big time. So what do you think?

If they didn't make the stuff so expensive then more and more people would actually go out and buy the legit, non copy written CD (or what-have you) as opposed to downloading it illegally (or what-have you).
I know that everyone who helped produce that track and CD must get paid but CDs are getting a bit too expensive; I remember when new CDs were $10.

Ahem. Keep to the topic.
I agree with W0lf the price of DVD's Games, CD's etc is a fortune not to mention the creators of these are paid a fortune so they won't be loosing any money, so yeah I think it is well and truly justified.

I miss the original pricing, hell, I miss the old days when CDs were popular. They think that making the CDs more expensive will attract more attention when in fact, it will decrease the vaule of the CD. If they were to make them cheaper then possibly, more people would go out and buy them.

Re: Can the piracy be justified?
The price of the blueray is well over the top i mean come on a old movie on dvd is something like £7 some times more, then they bring out the same movie
for some thing like £10 and say a new movie comes out it's £15 but blueray is £ 20+ i think its a joke and it cost no more to make.

It's a joke! If stuff wasn't so expensive then we would need to use piracy.
